We are proud to announce, AP Professionals of Rochester has been awarded a 2018 Rochester Top Workplace honor! Now in our second year of participation, we are excited to maintain our 2017 honor.

How the Top Workplace Survey Works

This year, 92 organizations participated in the annual Energage (formerly WorkplaceDynamics) survey, allowing employees the opportunity to rate their workplace. The seven areas covered include:

Top Places to Work 2018
  • Alignment with the company’s future and values.
  • Effectiveness of the company’s product; different perspectives are welcome.
  • Connection to work; it is meaningful and appreciated.
  • Manager relationships are strong, employees feel empowered to learn and interest is taking in their concerns.
  • Confidence in company leadership
  • The basics such as pay, training, and work-life balance.

The seventh area is key to AP; employee engagement: motivation, retention, and referral. As an employment agency, retention and referrals are crucial to our business. As “AP,” retention and referrals are even more so critical to our mission. We strive to build relationships that last a lifetime – whether the relationship is with a particular candidate coming back to us time after time for placement assistance, or a candidate referring another job seeker to us because they had a positive experience. This also rings true for our client relationships.

Maintaining a Top Workplace’s Honor

Our ultimate goal is to maintain and build strong professional relationships with candidates and clients. One way we maintain relationships, is by delivering half-moon cookies to client locations where our temporary employees are placed. In doing so, we get to check in with both the client and candidate to see how their new relationship is going. We then have the opportunity to provide any additional assistance if necessary. If not, we just provide cookies!

Our internal staff of 17 were proud to represent AP Professionals at the Democrat and Chronicle’s Rochester’s Top Workplaces dinner last week. More importantly, we are proud and grateful that the candidates we place feel so satisfied with their job placement and AP experience that we were able to attend last weeks dinner.

We will continue our commitment to providing the highest level of service to Accounting & Finance, Administrative, Engineering & Operations, and Human Resources job seekers and hiring managers in Rochester!
