Mechanic

AP Professionals has partnered with a local, growing manufacturing company in search of a Mechanic. Responsibilities will encompass the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery utilized in diverse manufacturing processes.

This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.

• Carries out daily preventive and on-demand maintenance tasks for production machinery and facility infrastructure.
• Responds to maintenance requests to ensure production schedules are met.
• Utilizes equipment manuals, procedures, and schematics to comprehend and execute necessary maintenance procedures.
• Conducts root cause analyses, communicates recommendations, and enforces solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Procures necessary parts and supplies for equipment maintenance.
• Records preventive and corrective maintenance activities through a computerized maintenance management system.
• Proposes modifications to improve equipment longevity and productivity.
• Offers technical support and contributes insights to new projects.
• Exhibits effective teamwork when resolving technical challenges.
• Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Successfully completes required job training programs.
• Adheres to site-specific lock-out tag-out protocols when servicing equipment.
• Maintains a tidy and organized work environment and workshop.
• Adheres to all company safety guidelines and site policies and regulations.

• Possess a Certificate/AAS in mechanical/electrical technologies or a related field, or have completed an apprenticeship or formal training program for automated equipment mechanics. Equivalent hands-on experience will also be taken into consideration.

• A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience and/or training is required, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

• Proficiency in automated machinery and associated subsystems, which includes:
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Electrical Systems
  • Instrumentation
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics
  • Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

• Demonstrated ability to comprehend and interpret:
  • Drawings and schematics
  • Equipment specifications
  • Maintenance procedures
• Having prior experience in any of the following processes can be highly beneficial:

  • Formulation Equipment
  • Filling, Capping, and Labeling Operations
  • Lyophilization / Vacuum Systems
  • Printers, Cameras, and Vision Systems
