Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a family-owned, culture-oriented company in search of an Account Executive. The Account Executive is responsible for exceeding sales revenue goals through creating and maintaining customer relationships, expanding customer base, and overseeing the product installation process for customer satisfaction. At least 2 years of experience Account Executive experience is desired, preferably in the security industry.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Sell security solutions to customers and oversee the installation process
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals and expand current customer base
  • Determine industry competitors and develop sales strategies, appropriate margins, and overall sales goals
  • Create and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
  • Stay up to date with market trends and new products
  • Prepare cost estimates and bid proposals based on evaluation of construction documents
  • Apply technical design requirements of security systems and equipment, manufacturer’s technical data, building codes, insurer criteria, and other applicable documents
  • Review and develop drawings, specifications, equipment submittals and calculations as needed
  • Perform preliminary survey of existing buildings to determine costs associated with the installation of security systems
  • Maintain contract documents and ensure change orders are processed in a timely fashion
  • Make routine site visits during the installation phase to evaluate overall project performance and safety
  • Submit the required documentation for project closeout
  • Coordinate with projects managers to monitor the progress of field personnel

Education

  • Technical Certification or degree in a related field

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a complex sales capacity is required
  • Experience in the security or fire control/alarm industry is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to navigate a relational database and utilize the internet is also required
  • Knowledge of CAD design
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract document review, including thorough understanding of reading blueprints, analyze building construction documents, and specification review
