Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local manufacturing distributor in search of an Account Manager. This role involves engaging with current clients and proactively reaching out to potential customers, guiding them in understanding how the company's products and delivery solutions align with their business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes our value proposition by actively engaging with customers to provide exceptional service, resolve issues, and address their needs.
  • Proactively reaches out to existing and potential customers to highlight new and existing products and services, promote special offers, and deliver essential account management support.
  • Tailors product recommendations to meet individual customer needs, drive upselling opportunities, and achieve sales goals.
  • Collaborates with the Account Executive to prepare Quarterly Business Reviews and negotiate contract renewals or new agreements.
  • Coordinates with teams across sales, customer service, operations, finance, and logistics to ensure seamless production, scheduling, and product delivery to customers.
  • Partners with the finance team to address credit holds or payment delays, working directly with customers to resolve outstanding account issues.
  • Leverages data and analytics to track contract and spot market performance, providing management with weekly reports and insights.
  • Represents company at industry tradeshows, customer events, and online forums, fostering strong brand visibility and relationships.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a comparable combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience

  • 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of year-over-year growth in a fast-paced industry.
  • Preferred experience in the food ingredients industry or selling commodities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, attention to detail, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Strong skills in influencing, mediating, and persuading others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred.
