Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a leading local company in search of a temporary Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting team by maintaining and organizing financial records while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This is a 5-month contract and is located fully onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with invoice processing, expense tracking, and credit entries for vendor and employee payments, while monitoring due dates for timely and accurate payments to international vendors.
  • Address vendor and customer inquiries promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to company spending and commitment policies and guide internal managers on proper procedures.
  • Prepare vouchers for payment.
  • Process and post customer payments deposited into bank accounts.
  • Handle internal credit memos, refund requests, and adjustments.
  • Research and reconcile vendor and customer accounts as needed.
  • Assist with reviewing and resolving discrepancies in financial records and reports.
  • Reconcile cash receipts with daily bank deposits and monitor deposit activity.
  • Organize and maintain accounting records and filing systems.
  • Support special projects and assist external auditors as required.

Education

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of related accounts payable/accounts receivable experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
