AP Professionals has partnered with a local company in search of an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will report to the CFO and is primarily responsible for direct oversight and execution of the companies accounting activities. This position will be hands on and bring experience in a variety of accounting and administrative skillsets.  The individual will have worked with complex accounting and ERP software platforms and help drive improvements in accounting systems.


  • Oversee and prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations
  • Knowledge of sales and use tax for construction and manufacturing companies
  • Preparation of a timely and accurate monthly financial package
  • Ensure month end closing procedures are in place
  • Prepare and analyze month end balance sheet and income statement
  • Manage and support all accounting functions
  • Hands-on support of annual review with outside accounting firm
  • Manage accounts payable, review weekly payments and credit card reconciliations
  • Quarterly bank reporting and preparing ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Accounts receivable & invoicing support
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, payroll tax reporting and company benefits
  • Oversee inventory management and weekly payroll and quarterly & annual tax reporting
  • Support preparation of annual budget and forecasting needs
  • Annual general liability and workers compensation audits


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field


  • 8+ years of progressive experience handling financial reporting & analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, asset / inventory management, banking, and financial systems maintenance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Attention to detail and follow through with time sensitive requests in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work closely with employees at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience and expertise with Acumatica or other ERP software
  • Proficient in MS office products, Advanced Excel user
