AP Professionals is partnering with a local company seeking an Accounting Manager. Working directly with the CFO, the Accounting Manager will be hands-on; working in the day-to-day ledger, performing month end close duties and creating financial reporting packages.  This position also supports strategic initiatives including budget forecast and commission incentive planning.  This position is on-site and expected to be hands-on, managing a transactional team.


  • Oversees monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting, strictly adhering to corporate deadlines and policies.
  • Prepares month-end financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analyses.
  • Manages general ledger and close processes.
  • Conducts ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with sales tax filing requirements.
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to the Accounting Team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable Departments.
  • Designs and documents business processes, systems, and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Assists the CFO in budget preparation and reporting.
  • Coordinates annual financial audits.
  • Prepares and reviews cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepares monthly commission reports. Performs bank reconciliations and monthly bank audits.
  • Maintains and improves cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient cost allocation and reporting.


  • Four-year degree required, Accounting or Finance.
  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant; Chartered Financial Analyst, preferred.


  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, manufacturing experience preferred.  Public accounting experience is a plus.
