Description

AP Professionals is partnering with a local growing company in search of an AP / Payroll Specialist! The AP / Payroll Specialist will oversee accounts payable, payroll, and administer the bid process. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounts payable process, encompassing invoice review, expense coding, check preparation, and ensuring prompt vendor payments.
  • Execute weekly payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Administer the bid process, involving the preparation of bid packages, tracking submissions, and coordination with project managers and subcontractors.
  • Manage the company's financial records, ensuring accurate documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Aid in budget preparation and monitoring activities.
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

Experience

  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Prior experience working in the construction industry is a plus
  • Experience with accounts payable, payroll, and bid administration
  • Experience with Sage is a must

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
