Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local company seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor. This role oversees financial processes related to payments and expenses, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while managing accounts and transactions, requiring strong organizational and leadership skills to support overall business functions. This position is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial transaction processing to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in payment processing and coordinate with relevant teams to manage disbursements.
  • Monitor and manage vendor accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Supervise financial account activities, including setup, reconciliation, and ongoing oversight.
  • Administer corporate purchasing programs, overseeing usage, compliance, and reporting.
  • Maintain financial records, review statements, and address discrepancies as needed.
  • Support regulatory and reporting processes, including year-end reconciliation and audits.
  • Oversee month-end closing activities, financial reconciliations, and reporting tasks.
  • Ensure proper document retention and organization for financial transactions.
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on financial procedures.
  • Stay informed on relevant financial policies, regulations, and industry best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, including supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
