Description

AP Professionals is partnering with a local organization in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing and collecting customer payments and invoices, maintaining accurate records, making deposits, and generating financial reports to monitor profits and losses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage invoicing for goods and services provided to clients.
  • Collect payments, track outstanding balances, and interact with customers regarding payment matters.
  • Accurately bill and record client fees, oversee client payments, communication, and debt agreements.
  • Monitor collectability, collaborate on collections, and process refunds upon client discharge.
  • Manage customer relationships, including sending payment reminders, resolving billing disputes, and establishing payment plans as needed.
  • Efficiently manage accounts receivable to optimize cash flow and ensure timely collections to minimize bad debt.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, update client accounts, and handle billing using Fund EZ accounting software.
  • Manage monthly journal entries, reconcile client aging, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintain aging reports, track outstanding invoices and overdue or pending payments.
  • Assist with preparing journal entries, generating reports, managing invoice communications, and providing administrative and bookkeeping support.

Education

  • Associates degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of related accounting and bookkeeping experience, particularly with general ledgers, analyzing financial data, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficient in financial software (QuickBooks, Fund EZ) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong math, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
