Description

AP is partnering with a local packaging company in search of a strong Customer Service Representative to assist in the smooth operation of the Customer Service Department. The selected candidate will provide administrative support to managers and other employees, ensuring that tasks related to organization and communication are completed efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • This role necessitates adherence to all required standard operating procedures, based on your position, department, and job.
  • Handle all outgoing office-related shipments via FedEx, UPS, or other approved means, which may include structural samples, proofs, and PDS samples, among others.
  • Manage hard-copy filing and disposal, as well as enter orders into the company's current order system.
  • Completing forms such as product destruction, credit requests, SR's, duplicate proof requests, Pre-flights, Pre-press Change Requests and Instruction Forms, Stamping and Embossing Die Forms, internal structure samples, etc.
  • Filling, routing, and releasing production jobs
  • Monitoring and reporting on-time delivery for order completion dates
  • Monitoring and reporting order accuracy in the order entry system
  • Monitoring and reporting aged inventory
  • Reviewing customer specifications and internal pricing specifications
  • Creating external customer quotes
  • Collaborating with Structural Design on new customer projects
  • Communicating project needs internally via preplan meetings, email, verbal conversations, etc.
  • Observing all safety rules and procedures
  • Keeping work area organized, neat, and clean
  • Performing other job duties as assigned

Education

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in office work.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, job tickets, and procedural manuals.
  • Basic arithmetic skillset including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Superior organization and follow-up skills.
  • Dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
