Description

AP Professionals is assisting a non-profit organization with their search to find a Human Resources Manager! This position is Responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle as well as overall HR activities. This is a fully onsite position at the organizations Mumford location.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all employee records and files using Paylocity’s HR & Payroll module.
  • Serve as first point of contact for employees’ human resource related needs including: hiring, benefits, leave of absence, labor law compliance, payroll, and termination.
  • Track performance reviews/goals to ensure they are completed for employees.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to recruit for open positions and facilitate hiring process.
  • Post open positions using Paylocity, applicable job boards and other outlets. Seek opportunities to increase and diversify the candidate pool.
  • Prepare employee onboarding documents (offer letter, background check, I-9 documentation, benefits, emergency/medical and other pertinent employment information) and communicate with successful job candidates to facilitate completion.
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll process.
  • Follow up with the appropriate time card/time sheet approvers and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure all payroll related changes and updates are made, such as vacation pay outs, rate changes, and vacation accruals are completed when needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements and update Museum policies, procedures and benefits based on these requirements.
  • Assist the CFO in negotiating and administering employee benefits including: medical, dental and vision insurance, health spending account (HSA), life insurance, voluntary disability, retirement enrollment, etc.; work with insurance broker and online benefits enrollment.
  • Coordinate annual enrollment meeting for eligible staff, with staff and insurance broker.
  • Complete and file all disability and workers’ compensation forms and correspond with insurance carriers, if necessary.
  • Oversee employee policies regarding vacation, holiday, sick time, bereavement, jury duty, etc.
  • Maintain employee handbook, including updates and changes in policies.
  • Administer Paid Family Leave (PFL) and Family Medical Leave (FMLA) paperwork and claims.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in HR or a related field.

Experience

  • 2-5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Paylocity experience preferred.
