Description

AP Professionals is working with a local construction company to find a Human Resources Associate. This is a newly created position that offers a lot of creativity to make it your own. An ideal candidate would have strong knowledge of Employee Benefits and Payroll functions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the enterprise benefit program for employees at time of hire, termination as well as open enrollment period and individual qualifying events.
  • Responsible for reconciling the benefit carrier billing expense statements of employee/employer withholding.
  • Accountable for overseeing the maintenance of employee benefits files for Enterprise.
  • Responsible for maintaining, updating and communicating changes to Enterprise employee handbook.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations.
  • Accountable for the timely entry and accuracy review of all required employee/ employer information of assigned company as it relates to payroll, reimbursable and personal identification information.
  • Responsible for processing change of status forms in collaboration with payroll
  • Accountable for assisting assigned company employees with understanding paycheck inquires.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all state and/or federal labor requirements are met as it relates to affirmative action (AAP) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) for assigned company.
  • Responsible for processing termination letters and administering COBRA for terminated enterprise employees.
  • Responsible for handing the maintenance of personnel record files for Enterprise in accordance with any federal and state laws governing record retention.
  • Accountable for upholding confidentiality of all employee matters.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred but not required.

Experience

  • Payroll experience with union and non-union staff.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Fluent with federal and state regulations, required
  • Human Resources principles and practices, required.
