Senior Accountant

AP Professionals has partnered with a local finance company to find a Senior Accountant. This position is fully onsite and responsible for managing cash flow, reviewing financial reports, preparing tax and audit documents, and ensuring compliance with federal and state mortgage loan regulations. • Oversee cash flow, ensuring efficient handling of cash transactions and maintaining accurate records.
• Review daily and monthly financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain personnel records, including 401k and pension accounting, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Prepare and/or review tax and audit documents for submission to external accounting firms.
• Serve as a backup for various accounting tasks and mortgage loan servicing functions, ensuring continuity and accuracy.
• Research, update, and disseminate federal and state regulations related to mortgage loan servicing.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Must have good credit.

• At least 3 years of accounting experience.

• Familiarity with both Cash and Accrual Accounting methods.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
• Ability to easily handle basic mathematical calculations, including percentages, multiplication, and division.
• Basic knowledge of Money Markets, the Prime Rate, and US Geography.
