Assurance Manager

One of Rochester’s leading CPA firms is in search of an Assurance Manager.  This firm is located in a Rochester suburb with a modern office setting.  Employees enjoy a hybrid work schedule and half-day Fridays in the summer months.  Client base includes many well known Rochester businesses and their owners, in a variety of industries.  This would be a perfect setting for someone who has their CPA and is interested in advancing within a CPA firm- potentially to partner- but not seeing a path at your current firm.  Also would entertain professionals with previous assurance experience and then accounting manager experience within a company where supervisory experience and finance reporting were key responsibilities.

• Supervise and manage clients' audit, review, and compilation engagements.
• Review work paper documentation and financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate review of tax returns for entities and individuals (e.g., 1120S, 1065, 1120, 1040).
• Collaborate directly with partners to maintain effective communication and teamwork.
• Oversee and assess staff performance on engagements, assisting in their development with software knowledge, processes, and resources.
• Build strong working relationships with clients through personal attention and prompt service delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA required.

• Minimum 3 years of managerial or senior experience in public accounting.

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client engagements.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in delegating work effectively as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail.
