Civil Engineer

AP Professionals has partnered with a design and consulting firm that is looking to add a highly motivated, licensed, Civil Designer/Engineer to their team.  This company offers great benefits and a competitive salary.  Minimum travel required, previous experience a must!

• Complete civil design calculations, modeling, and analysis
• Develop design drawings and contract specifications
• Work on designs for site layout, roadways, grading, storm drainage and profiles, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection systems and profiles, hydrological studies and erosion and sediment control plans
• Prepare construction cost estimates and design narratives/engineering reports
• Work with design team to complete multi-discipline design projects
• Supervises junior engineers and CAD technicians
• Leads (plan, schedule, and coordinates) civil engineering design effort for assigned projects
• Routinely interacts with organization leaders, clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others– thus, leading project meetings and presentations

• New York Professional Engineer (PE) required but will consider experienced EIT

• Experience with the following is desired: Stormwater Management and Permitting, Site Design, Parking Lots, Road Reconstruction, Water Treatment Systems, Water Supply, Distribution, and Storage, Sanitary Sewer Collection and Storage, Pumping Stations (Water, Sewer, & Storm), Steam Systems, UST, AST & Fueling Systems, Retaining Walls, Ramps & Accessibility
• Experience with Autodesk SSA, HydroCAD, and/or EPANET is a plus.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
