Description

AP has a great opportunity to work for a well known financial institution in the Canandaigua area.  This position is a contract role for 6-9 months, hours are 8:30- 5:00 Monday through Friday, and is on site.  This position is responsible for performing various clerical duties relating to the Consumer Lending function.  Consumer lending is the practice of providing loans to individuals, rather than businesses, for personal, family, or household expenses. You will respond to inquiries or requests for information, while maintaining appropriate records.  The Consumer Lending Rep always strives for accuracy and completing tasks by due date.  If you want to work in a professional setting and work with a great team, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities

Performs various clerical duties relating to the Consumer Lending function as illustrated by the following:

  1. Maintains filing system (paper or electronic) of loan documents with accuracy.
  2. Performs various clerical duties relating to the Consumer Lending operations function.
  3. Ensures preparation of lien releases.
  4. Complies with operating policies and procedures established for the banking operations function.
  5. Maintaining appropriate records.
  6. Responds to calls from dealers and community office staff regarding loan status, approvals, payoffs, lien releases, etc. Responds to inquiries or requests for information.
  7. Assists customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments as necessary; provides help to customers with specific inquiries or service problems.
  8. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
  9. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.

Education

Minimum of High School Diploma, Associates degree preferred

Experience

Previous banking experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; moderate typing skills; moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills; a working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact consumer services; strong skills with Microsoft Office Products, proficient manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; moderate analytical skills; visual and auditory skills; must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
