Stable, global organization with a local presence on the east side of Rochester. The Corporate Accounting Manager will lead the financial close process for a multi-entity organization. Responsibilities

Core Accounting & Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly and quarterly corporate close and consolidation process, including multi-entity consolidations, intercompany eliminations, consolidation entries, account reconciliations, and journal entries.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, earnings releases, and accompanying financial statement disclosures.

  • Drive compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies, ensuring consistency across all entities, including newly acquired or transforming businesses.

Technical Accounting & Compliance:

  • Lead technical accounting matters such as stock-based compensation, lease accounting, and the implementation of new accounting standards.

  • Support internal control over financial reporting (ICFR), including SOX 404 compliance, while proactively identifying and implementing control enhancements.

  • Evaluate and standardize accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across business units to promote operational efficiency and compliance.

Audit & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, managing audit timelines, coordinating requests, and preparing supporting documentation for quarterly reviews and year-end audits.

  • Partner cross-functionally with teams across the organization to ensure the completeness and accuracy of consolidated financial reporting.

Systems, Process Improvement & Strategic Projects:

  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to accelerate the close process, enhance accuracy, and increase automation through effective use of ERP and consolidation systems.

  • Provide ad hoc support on special projects, including business acquisitions and other strategic initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Graduate degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is a plus
  • Active CPA license is strongly preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
  • While a combination of public accounting and industry experience is preferred, open to candidates with only public accounting or industry experience as well
