AP Professionals is assisting a local organization with their search in finding a Payroll Coordinator. This position processes payroll for multiple entities and would partner with the internal HR team day to day.
Responsibilities
Perform duties relating to garnishments, rate changes, deductions, profit sharing payments, and bonuses
Process payroll for various companies on multiple schedules, ensuring that maintenance and updates are entered
Run and analyze audit reports based on the payroll, prior to submitting for close
Keep abreast of payroll compliance and federal and multistate tax changes
Receive and initiate telephone calls from/to employees, supervisors, and outside agencies; respond to routine questions and requests within a twenty-four-hour period
Update payroll data in HRIS system, to include various items such as address changes, new hires, terminations, garnishments, pay-rate changes, direct deposits, etc.
Generate and create reports from HRIS; assemble reports, compile data, and summarize records/reports manually or using Microsoft Word/Excel or HRIS system
Update changes to federal, state, and local taxes based on residency and occupational locations
Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned
Education
Associate degree (with experience)
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related major a plus
Experience
3 years related experience
