Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local company in search of a Director of Human Resources! The Director of HR will aid in the development of recruitment, retention, and employee relations strategies and implementation. This role will be to ensure that the Talent and Employee Relations teams partner with Operations to support the strategic growth of the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with operations leadership to evaluate market conditions and strategically plan for hiring needs
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and state and federal legislation and ensure the company complies with all employment matters
  • Identify target industries to draw labor from and develop recruitment strategy
  • Build and implement processes and programs to attract, on-board and retain talent at all levels and across multiple locations
  • Actively participate in industry associations and organizations to promote the company brand
  • Review and make recommendations to executive management for improvement of the company’s policies, procedures, and practices
  • Partner with Marketing on recruitment social media strategies and brand recognition initiatives
  • Strategize and develop talent pools for the workforce throughout the company
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships
  • Develop partnerships with high schools, trade schools, colleges, and veteran organizations to educate them about our business and implement recruitment strategies
  • Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development for the company

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a business-related field

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in the Human Resources field with at least 7 years in a leadership role

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, smart phones, tablets, and standard office equipment
  • Ability to work with a variety of customers, both internal and external
  • Possess effective leadership skills
  • Proficient presentation skills to effectively deliver a high-quality presentation
