Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local company in search of a Director of Sales. The ideal candidate is a motivated, tenacious sales professional with experience managing all phases of the sales cycle. The ideal candidate is resilient, organized, and well-versed in the B2B technology sector. They should be adaptable, capable of critical thinking, able to multitask, and skilled at building rapport with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that aligns with corporate goals to drive revenue growth in the assigned territory.
  • Identify and capitalize on high-value sales opportunities, focusing on large SaaS deals.
  • Build and sustain strong executive-level relationships with clients and partners to position the company as a trusted partner.
  • Represent the company as a leading provider of innovative solutions, effectively communicating value propositions to key stakeholders.
  • Act as an industry thought leader by staying informed about market trends and leveraging insights to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Lead regional sales efforts with a readiness to travel, ensuring consistent engagement with clients and headquarters.
  • Demonstrate the company’s competitive edge through compelling product and solution presentations.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
  • Maintain an accurate and robust sales pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
  • Collaborate with inside sales to drive volume to the top of the funnel and execute regional events.
  • Represent the company at conferences, speaking events, and trade shows.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably with SaaS.
  • Experience with CRM applications and contact research tools is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and closing large deals.
  • Willingness to travel 25% or more.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about customer priorities and technical challenges, and to present compelling solutions.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and highly energetic.
