Description

AP Professionals is partnering with a local electronics manufacturer looking for a Field Account Manager. This role is responsible for driving sales across a diverse portfolio of products, with a focus on maximizing growth, enhancing efficiency, and simplifying the customer experience. The Field Account Manager plays a key part in supporting long-term, sustainable growth by executing effective sales strategies and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will contribute to business success through proactive engagement, strategic account management, and consistent alignment with organizational sales objectives.

This is a direct hire opportunity. Pay is $56K-60K with commission. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions, products, and services that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee the full customer engagement cycle, including managing quotes, processing orders, addressing quality concerns, and overall service excellence.
  • Identify and document any potential product, process, or quality system issues, taking proactive measures to correct and prevent recurrence, and ensure resolution is fully implemented.
  • Design and execute sales initiatives and promotional strategies; assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate systems and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and departments to align efforts and deliver comprehensive support to customers throughout the sales process.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key manufacturers and their representatives to enhance product offerings and service capabilities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity; share insights with product, sales, pricing, and business management teams to strengthen strategic positioning optimize gross profit.
  • Support the VP of Sales & Marketing in planning, forecasting, and executing sales strategies to achieve business growth objectives.
  • Partner with inside sales to coordinate quotes, ensure product availability, and resolve customer issues; provide timely updates on quote statuses.
  • Participate in the introduction and promotion of new products across key market segments.
  • Generate and maintain accurate reports on sales activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Experience

  • Minimum of three years of direct field sales experiences, ideally in the electronics industry.
  • Experience in B2B sales, multi-tiered distribution channels, and electrical products is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot and professional networking tools like LinkedIn.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
  • Highly customer-focused, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to track and manage project deliverables efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with outstanding people skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
