AP is partnering with a local manufacturer in search of a Field Sales Director. The Field Sales Director manages an assigned portfolio of customers, ensuring contracts are executed in alignment with organizational objectives, driving sales, and managing account performance. They understand customers' needs, negotiate pricing, and work as a strategic partner to support long-term success and engage in the company’s business planning.


  • Engage with customers through different methods to provide excellent customer service, resolve issues, increase sales, and support customer needs to meet contract requirements and renewals.
  • Analyzes customer data to understand their business ecosystem, needs, and value drivers. The services and products are strategically positioned to align with the customer's business strategies, and any objections are proactively addressed.
  • Conducts business review meetings with key accounts, leveraging KPIs and data analytics, to discuss contract performance, understand current and future strategies, and create sustainable value and strong customer engagements for the long-term.
  • Promotes new and existing products and services, offers special promotions, and provides essential account management services by reaching out to customers.
  • Selects appropriate product information to meet the needs of individual customers and achieve sales targets, as well as supporting upselling.
  • Provides proactive outreach to customers to promote SPOT sales opportunities.
  • Collaborates with colleagues across sales, customer service, operations, finance, and logistics to ensure effective production, scheduling, and delivery of products to the customer.
  • Negotiates new contract deals and ensures contract terms are accurate and in line with organizational requirements.
  • Collaborates with finance team to understand credit hold or payment delays and engages with customers to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Attends trade shows and other relevant events by traveling up to 50% to visit customers.
  • Performs other duties as required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field.


  • 10+ years of sales experience, delivering year-over-year growth in a dynamic industry.
  • Preferred experience selling in the food ingredients industry or selling commodities.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and contracting experience.

  • Strong ability to influence, mediate, and persuade others.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level customer focus and service.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
