Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local software company in search of an experienced Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will support financial oversight and integration of acquired companies, including monthly and portfolio financial reporting, financial modeling, M&A due diligence, and post-acquisition integration. The role will also collaborate with business units to enhance financial systems and deliver accurate forecasts and reports. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and oversees financial processes to ensure accurate, timely reporting to the parent company.
  • Evaluates risk and control environments across all business units.
  • Identifies financial and operational risks and opportunities at both group and business unit levels.
  • Manages ongoing internal management reporting and drives continuous improvements.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators, to highlight trends, issues, and opportunities.
  • Collaborates with the Group CFO on strategic initiatives to support growth and profitability goals.
  • Supports business units with quarterly forecasting through data gathering, analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Participates in financial due diligence for potential acquisitions.
  • Aids in the integration of newly acquired companies, ensuring alignment with key investment objectives.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to financial leaders within the business units.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA, CMA, CFA, or MBA a plus.

Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in a Financial Analyst position, preferably with a background in Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Reporting, or Strategic Planning.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities preferred.
  • Experience with XERO or Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator across teams and leadership levels.
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and experienced in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities within finance teams.
