Description

Reporting to the Manager of  FP&A, this role will assist in the financial planning, analysis and forecasting of  financial records and business data and assist with the development of the annual budget to support the mission, vision, and values of a great local $100mil not-for-profit organization.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes data variances between actual financial results and established budget and forecasts.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly and annual reporting to include program specific reporting, expense reporting, payroll reporting, and administrative expense reporting.
  • Actively works with Accounting to ensure proper accounting and reporting.
  • Assists in maintaining the budget and forecast information in the accounting systems.
  • Coordinates and schedules monthly/quarterly meetings with program managers and/or directors.
  • Prepares and distributes monthly/quarterly meeting agendas and presentations.
  • Prepares ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management and operations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is required

Experience

  • Three years of accounting/finance experience, preferably with some experience in the not-for-profit environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Must possess analytical skills to process large amounts of financial data and information
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in excel preferred
