Description

AP is excited to be partnering with a local non-profit organization in search of an outstanding Human Resource Assistant to provide support to the HR Department.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain employee personnel files.
  • Maintain I-9's, and other necessary employee information.
  • Enter data into HRIS systems, such as ADP and RELIAS.
  • Conduct pre-employment tasks, including background checks.
  • Assist with the employee onboarding process, including agency orientation.
  • Create and distribute employee identification cards.
  • Keep track of professional certifications and licensure.
  • Conduct monthly Medicaid Fraud Checks.
  • Process any employment status changes, including staff separations.
  • Handle any unemployment claims needed.
  • Responding promptly to employment inquiries and subsequent follow-ups, while keeping departments informed of hiring process updates and other relevant communication.
  • Updating Employee Handbook and other necessary documents as required.
  • Coordinating and documenting the implementation of staff development and training initiatives through RELIAS and other relevant systems.
  • Acting as a knowledgeable resource for HRIS (ADP, RELIAS).
  • Providing assistance with audits and HR projects as requested.
  • Executing HR process and procedure redesign initiatives and offering solution-based feedback.
  • Offers initial consultation and assistance to staff on Human Resources matters. When necessary, refers or raises the issue to the HR Generalist.
  • Maintains a high level of discretion, handling confidential and proprietary information with the utmost care.

Education

  • High school diploma with three years’ experience in a Human Resources Department or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency in Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience in a remote work environment preferred.
