AP is excited to be partnering with a local non-profit organization in search of an outstanding Human Resource Assistant to provide support to the HR Department.
Responsibilities
Create, update, and maintain employee personnel files.
Maintain I-9's, and other necessary employee information.
Enter data into HRIS systems, such as ADP and RELIAS.
Conduct pre-employment tasks, including background checks.
Assist with the employee onboarding process, including agency orientation.
Create and distribute employee identification cards.
Keep track of professional certifications and licensure.
Conduct monthly Medicaid Fraud Checks.
Process any employment status changes, including staff separations.
Handle any unemployment claims needed.
Responding promptly to employment inquiries and subsequent follow-ups, while keeping departments informed of hiring process updates and other relevant communication.
Updating Employee Handbook and other necessary documents as required.
Coordinating and documenting the implementation of staff development and training initiatives through RELIAS and other relevant systems.
Acting as a knowledgeable resource for HRIS (ADP, RELIAS).
Providing assistance with audits and HR projects as requested.
Executing HR process and procedure redesign initiatives and offering solution-based feedback.
Offers initial consultation and assistance to staff on Human Resources matters. When necessary, refers or raises the issue to the HR Generalist.
Maintains a high level of discretion, handling confidential and proprietary information with the utmost care.
Education
High school diploma with three years’ experience in a Human Resources Department or equivalent required.
Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Proficiency in Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Experience in a remote work environment preferred.
