Description

AP is working with a successful, private manufacturing company to fill a newly established human resources director position.  This company continues to have significant growth in their operations. The company's reputation as a great culture and place to work has helped them retain employees for the long term and attract future employees from the same families! The human resources director will be hands-on and a strategic leader with regards to human resources initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the company's employee relations efforts as a listener and ambassador regarding policies, practices, and company culture.
  • Manager the human resources department to allocate work and provide opportunities for team member growth.
  • Provides a human resources strategy that is in alignment with the company's overall  goals.
  • Pays attention to external trends and opportunities that might benefit the company from a competitive advantage and retention perspective.
  • Maintains HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Cultivates relationships to support a healthy  talent pipeline.
  • Designs and leads learning and development initiatives for the benefit of employees and the company's success.
  • Proactively, offers continuous improvement suggestions.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or relevant field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM CP or PHR certification

Experience

  • 6+ years in a human resource management role
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
