Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local company to find a Human Resources Generalist. The responsibilities in this role include recruiting, retention, training, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, and employee relations. This position is fully on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the company’s human resources functions and performance.
  • Manage the company's training programs.
  • Create and implement strategies to attract talent to the organization.
  • Promotes a positive and enjoyable company culture by organizing team-building activities and company events (e.g., holiday parties, baseball games, cookouts).
  • Maintain and communicate work anniversary and birthday calendars to the company.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions; collaborating with hiring managers to understand required skills and competencies.
  • Support, evaluate, administer, and enhance onboarding processes, training (including mandatory, product-specific, industry-specific, and advancement/leadership opportunities), coaching, employee recognition programs, compensation management and salary administration, benefits offerings, HR systems and records retention, employee engagement metrics and programs, and event planning and execution.
  • Facilitate background checks and verify employee eligibility.
  • Execute routine tasks required for administering human resource programs, including handling disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Keeps up-to-date with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

  • over 1 year of experience in Human Resources.
