Description

AP Professionals is partnering with a leading manufacturing company with multiple locations to find a Human Resources Manager. With the support of a recruiter,  the successful candidate in this role will have broad generalist skills and be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR functions including payroll, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and keeping up with labor laws. This position is on-site with flexible hours and has opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and use Paylocity for HRIS tasks, including payroll processing, onboarding, benefits management, and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, leave administration, payroll, and scheduling.
  • Administer all aspects of leave management across the organization, including FMLA, PFL, and DBL.
  • Collaborate with the benefits broker to manage open enrollment, employee benefits programs, and address benefits-related questions and issues.
  • Handle employee relations matters such as investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain both physical and digital employee records, ensuring compliance with HR policies and labor regulations.
  • Partner with the management team to update and maintain the Employee Handbook.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist managers with performance reviews.
  • Support the planning and coordination of events and meetings.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • HR Certification a plus (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR).

Experience

  • At least 5 years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Paylocity experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Extensive understanding of Human Resource principles, practices, and compliance across a multi-state organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
