Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a company located on the eastside of Rochester in search of an Industrial Application Engineer. The role of the Industrial Application Engineer involves coordinating and aiding in the advancement of product design for both emerging prospects and existing products. Additionally, they take charge of and oversee the ongoing enhancement of product design, materials, manufacturing procedures, tooling, and assembly methodologies employed in the production process.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct exploration, formulation, execution, and supervision of novel product development initiatives.
  • Organize the commencement of manufacturing for new or revised products, encompassing objective establishment, team training, and result assessment.
  • Devise and adapt manufacturing blueprints and specifications.
  • Generate drawings, cost approximations, and materials lists for both projects and production tasks.
  • Furnish engineering and technical assistance to the sales team.
  • Oversee production-related activities involving process enhancement, issue resolution, project oversight, and employee instruction.
  • Originate, implement, and propose strategies for refining production techniques and boosting equipment performance.
  • Enhance manufacturing procedures and methodologies to curtail expenses, enhance quality, and elevate efficiency.
  • Formulate and present comprehensive strategies for the aforementioned actions, orchestrating team training as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the production manager to enhance systems for production oversight, standard operating protocols, safety protocols, quality management, and training procedures.
  • Engage in the exploration, design, and progression of manufacturing processes, covering production flow, assembly procedures, and production machinery.
  • Construct and sustain detailed schematics of facilities and machinery layouts.
  • Conceive, create, trial, and/or obtain and financially substantiate various tools, machinery, and equipment to support recommended production methodologies.
  • Undertake analyses of products and processes to drive cost reduction, heighten quality, and amplify operational efficiency.

Education

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering role.
