Senior Industrial Engineer

AP Professionals of Rochester is partnering with a manufacturing company in search of a Senior Engineer. The Senior Industrial Engineer will partner with Operations and Capital Engineering to build capacity models for all processes within the value stream, design new automated equipment layouts, and document processes that will guide future investment models. This position will need to be self-directed, as well as effective in a team setting to keep pace with a growing facility.

• Craft and continually refine value stream mapping for the factory.
• Evaluate facility capacity and offer recommendations for optimizing space utilization.
• Engage in and guide Kaizen events to drive process enhancements.
• Construct capacity models for manufacturing processes and associated components.
• Compile and deliver presentations focusing on capacity enhancements and process refinement.
• Provide guidance and training to operations teams in process mapping and documentation practices.

Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.

• Demonstrate 5-7 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

• Possess a Lean/Six Sigma certification, which is considered advantageous.
• Exhibit familiarity with ERP systems and possess experience in a regulated production environment (e.g., FDA, Automotive, etc.), as well as proficiency in computer-aided modeling.
