Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a company located on the eastside of Rochester in search of a Industrial Manufacturing Engineer. The Industrial Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for coordinating, leading, and overseeing the ongoing enhancement of production processes, product design, materials, fabrication procedures, tooling, and assembly methods employed in the manufacturing process.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of all technical aspects related to industrial filtration.
  • Conduct research, conceptualize, execute, and oversee the development of novel products.
  • Coordinate the launch of new or revised manufacturing projects, including setting objectives, training team members, and evaluating outcomes.
  • Create and revise manufacturing drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare drawings, cost estimates, and bills of materials for both projects and production tasks.
  • Offer engineering and technical support to the sales team.
  • Manage various production tasks, such as process enhancement, issue resolution, project management, and employee training.
  • Devise, implement, and propose strategies to enhance production methods and equipment performance.
  • Enhance manufacturing processes and methodologies to reduce costs, elevate quality, and boost efficiency.
  • Develop and present comprehensive plans for the above actions, overseeing team training as required.
  • Collaborate with the production manager to enhance production control systems, standard operating procedures, safety protocols, quality control measures, and training processes.
  • Engage in research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, encompassing production flow, assembly techniques, and production equipment.
  • Create and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Design, develop, test, and/or source various tools, machinery, and equipment to support recommended manufacturing practices and justify costs.
  • Analyze products and processes to drive cost reduction, enhance quality, and optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure the successful manufacturability and validation of new filters through the production startup process.
  • Assist in resolving complex equipment maintenance challenges.
  • Provide necessary training for maintenance and fabrication tasks as required.
  • Contribute to the specification, setup, and operation of new equipment.
  • Devise, construct, and document improvements for production equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the facility.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Brings a minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Possesses experience in performance improvement, preferably with a minimum of a green belt in Six Sigma.
  • Comes with a background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Has a track record of working in technical capacities.
