Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local manufacturer who has been in business for decades in search of a Key Account Manager. The ideal candidate will maintain and grow high-level accounts, add new customers through strategic business development, and meet sales targets. They will also resolve client issues quickly, manage key client communications, and develop up-selling and cross-selling strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow high-level accounts while adding new customers through business development activities.
  • Meet sales targets for both revenue and margin.
  • Conduct market research, generate leads, create quotes, and secure purchase orders.
  • Analyze sales trends and identify opportunities; relay customer feedback to engineering.
  • Engage in strategic planning, define target markets, and generate forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop messaging that supports sales efforts.
  • Work with the Director of Sales to establish competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
  • Quickly resolve client issues.
  • Oversee and manage communications between key clients and the organization.
  • Anticipate and proactively address client needs.
  • Develop strategies for up-selling and cross-selling.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Demonstrated experience in account management or a relevant sales role
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on driving business development initiatives
  • Excellent skills in sales, negotiation, and communication
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong work ethic
