We are working with a well-established, full-service law firm in downtown Rochester who is seeking a Legal Recruiter to join their Legal Talent and Development Department. This direct hire position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the firm’s recruiting initiatives, supporting the attraction and retention of top legal talent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-campus and lateral recruiting efforts, including outreach to law schools, scheduling interviews, and maintaining communication with candidates and hiring teams.
• Manage job postings, candidate pipelines, and applicant communications through the firm’s applicant tracking system (LawCruit).
• Partner with leadership and the Legal Talent and Development team to align recruiting strategies with firm-wide goals.
• Organize and execute firm programs such as the Summer Associate Program, Diversity Scholarship Program, and other recruitment-related events.
• Oversee the interview and offer process, including background checks, references, and related documentation.
• Maintain recruiting data, track hiring metrics, and prepare reports for internal review.
• Monitor recruiting budgets to ensure alignment with financial objectives.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred; however, candidates with equivalent recruiting experience will be considered.

Experience

• Five or more years of recruiting experience in a professional services or corporate environment; law firm experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior professionals and candidates at all levels.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with LawCruit is a plus.
