Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local, growing manufacturing company in search of a Manufacturing Engineer. The role of the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the engineering aspects of equipment and auxiliary systems to ensure the efficient and dependable operation of our on-site manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in diagnosing machine issues and conducting root cause analyses, covering areas such as electric and servo motors, mechanisms, and sensors. Possesses CAD skills for designing and drafting custom hardware components, including brackets, guards, and replacement parts.
  • Identify and establish preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to optimize uptime and reduce maintenance expenses, all while enhancing reliability, quality, productivity, and safety outcomes.
  • Take the lead in initiating and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives through Lean methodologies. Generate reports, summaries, and essential capital documentation by applying a comprehensive understanding of fundamental engineering principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Provide solutions to a range of technical challenges, spanning from straightforward to moderately complex in scope and complexity. Operate with minimal supervision, following established procedures, where data analysis necessitates the evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Undertake projects and/or support multiple initiatives, receiving overarching guidance from higher-level engineers regarding expected results.
  • Develop and maintain efficient lines of communication across various departments to realize plant maintenance and reliability objectives.

Education

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree with a track record of 3 to 5 years of professional experience. Master of Science is preferred.

Experience

  • Demonstrate expertise in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance, with a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing context.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Preferred experience in machine alignments and mechanical metrology.
  • Exhibit proficiency in diagnosing machinery issues and conducting root cause analyses, encompassing electric and servo motors, mechanical components, and sensors.
  • Possess CAD proficiency for designing and drafting custom hardware components, including brackets, protective guards, and replacement parts.
  • Bring a background in precision machinery, machine assembly, and automation integration.
  • Anticipate minimal travel requirements, with not more than 5% of travel expected.
