Network Administrator

AP Professionals has partnered with a well-known law firm in search of a tenured, Network Administrator. Working alongside a large department, the Network Administrator will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of network, servers, and more. Perform network maintenance, troubleshooting, support, and more. Maintain the AD environment as well as the virtual environment. In-depth experience with Cisco, Security, Microsoft, Office365, and more is required. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity requiring onsite work in Rochester, NY. Candidates must be located locally and comfortable working onsite.

• Support day-to-day operations of network, physical and virtual servers, and end user PCs.
• Independently resolve complex IT issues.
• Maintain IT security policy and documentation as required for firm compliance.
• Performs network maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of network and internet access, internal servers and applications, remote access, phone systems, Wi-Fi and printers.
• Oversee specified hardware to meet new requirements or to replace/upgrade equipment.
• Maintain active directory environment through user account maintenance, group maintenance, security permissions and file sharing, maintaining required licensing and accounts, server updates and maintenance, and server hardware and OS upgrades as required.
• Manage virtual environment.
• Maintain data backups using Veeam.
• Configure and deploy systems to end users as needed to support the organization.

• Associates or Bachelors degree in IT is desired, but not required
• Security/Microsoft/Cisco certifications are preferred

• 3+ years of experience in an IT capacity delivering network, customer and systems support
• Experience with Mac, Windows clients, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, VPN.
• Experience & Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD, Citrix Cloud.
• Have knowledge of VMware ESXi and SAN environments.
• Experience with Hypervisors, virtual desktops, and virtual environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 Email, Hybrid Exchange.
• Experience with network topologies and architecture.
• Experience with computer & server hardware (PC/Server assembly, RAID controllers, Fiber).
• Experience with data management and security.

• Ability to troubleshoot a variety of systems and technologies including, but not limited to, remote access, security, storage and back-up.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to organize and prioritize issues and workload.
