AP Professionals of Rochester is partnering with a manufacturing company in search of a Plant Manager. The Plant Manager provide overall leadership and direction for the manufacturing of filters and the production team.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring that production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
Manage production schedules, inventory levels, and production capacity.
Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and conflict management to a diverse group of manufacturing professionals, fostering an environment of mutual respect and continuous growth.
Manage the supply chain, including sourcing raw materials, managing suppliers, and coordinating logistics to ensure a steady flow of materials for production.
Ensure that products meet quality standards and that quality control processes are in place and effective.
Implement and maintain quality management systems like ISO standards.

Monitor and control production costs to ensure that the manufacturing process remains cost-effective and efficient.
Identify and Develop strategies and opportunities to improve margins by implementing cost saving opportunities.
Lead and manage a team of managers and supervisors, including production managers, quality control managers, engineering and others.
Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
Identify areas for process improvement and implementing lean manufacturing principles or other methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Recommend, Develop, and implement measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing operations, such as supply chain disruptions, equipment failures, and market fluctuations.
Stay current with technological advancements in manufacturing and assess potential benefits to the company.
Coordinate with VP to implement new processes and controls to streamline and optimize production.
Oversee the facilities and structure of 2 sites and develop opportunities to optimize and consolidate production processes.
Education
BS Degree in business or engineering desired
Experience
Minimum 10 years work experience in manufacturing setting
Minimum of 5 years with management responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Manufacturing and/or mechanical background
Ability to perform complex math calculations
Operate computer system
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience working with quality and safety standards within a manufacturing environment
