AP Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturing company that has been in business for decades in search of a Press Operator 1. This is a 3rd shift position, 11PM to 7AM.
Responsibilities
Inspect folder contents and printing plates to confirm the appropriate ink color and type.
Perform line clearance tasks and ensure thorough documentation is completed.
Consistently oversee sheet production to maintain top-quality output.
Ensure the correct sheet quantity is produced to meet customer demands.
Clear the area of any leftover materials after production is completed.
Keep the machine and surrounding area clean and orderly, following company guidelines.
Education
High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.
Experience
At least 3 years of experience working in a sheet-fed environment with multicolor printing equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Ability to read and understand documents such as safety regulations, job tickets, and procedural manuals.
Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to detect color variations; must pass the Munsell 100 color blindness test.
Ability to accurately read measurements using a tape measure.
Basic computer skills required for data entry tasks.
Mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of the printing process.
