Description

AP Professionals has partnered with an electrical supplier located south of Rochester that is looking to add a process engineer to their team.  The Process Engineer will be responsible for the control and variation reduction of product as well as act as a technical resource for engineers, sales, field, and production areas.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for creating work standards and product structure details, as well as proposing and recommending manufacturing processes and modifications for approval.
  • Responsible for accepting, executing, and taking ownership of their assigned duties, and requesting any essential resources.
  • Identifies area problems and potential solutions and communicates them to their manager.
  • Handles confidential information and is responsible for its proper handling and use.
  • Accountable for controlling the process and reducing variation for both foam and 3D filters and taking appropriate action for preventive or nonconforming materials by following corrective and preventive measures for customer complaints or process upsets.
  • Serves as a technical resource for engineers, sales, field, and production departments.
  • Suggests, educates, recommends, and communicates cost-saving measures, quality enhancements, technical advancements, and product designs to aid in achieving company goals.
  • Responsible for following and assisting in updating all work instructions (WI), data acquisition plan (DAP), standard test method (STM), process instructions (PI), forms, policies, and procedures in SAP, LMS, N.W.A, or any other program according to instructions and training.
  • Involved in testing, implementing, training, and purchasing materials necessary to improve production.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area(s) and equipment.
  • Notifies the relevant personnel of any injuries, regardless of their severity.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience

  • 2+ years in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Ceramics is ideal
