AP Professionals is partnering with an established manufacturing company that has been in business for decades in search of a Production Lead. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of production workers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities, and that tasks are completed on time and according to quality standards.
  • Work closely with the production manager to develop and implement production schedules, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining optimal resource utilization.
  • Responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary. This includes monitoring production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all production staff. This includes conducting regular safety inspections, providing safety training, and addressing any safety concerns or incidents that may arise.
  • Participate in identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, inventory levels, and quality control documentation. You will also generate regular reports for management to track key performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and parts lists, possessing mechanical assembly expertise.
  • Demonstrates adaptability across various departments, capable of multitasking and organizing tasks effectively under multiple supervisors.
  • Collaborates with metal shop, inspection & receiving, paint shop, and production supervisors.
  • Ideally suited for individuals experienced in manufacturing environments, with a preference for leadership skills. Familiarity with Excel and Word is desirable.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • May occasionally engage directly in production line activities.
  • Proficiency in soldering techniques.
