Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a security company in search of a Project Manager-Fire Alarm System. Responsibilities will include managing projects within budget, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, and overseeing the field operations team assigned to the project. Working closely with sales divisions, engineering team, installation technicians, and customers is vital. Provide exceptional customer service and high-quality deliverables to ensure the professional execution of projects.

This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with all stakeholders involved in assigned projects.
  • Ensure that the project stays on track and within budgets.
  • Offer guidance and support to the field operations and engineering teams using your expertise.
  • Supervise project progress.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with involved personnel.
  • Conduct on-site visits with the sales team and technicians at different stages of the project.
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints and schematics for installation and proposals.
  • Examine and interpret project specifications.
  • Manage and monitor any proposed changes in project orders.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the project management team.
  • Monitor project finances throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and work effectively in a team environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management or a related field OR hold Technical Certifications such as PMP that support this role.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience working as a project manager in the fire alarm industry.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • NICET certification.
  • Understanding of NFPA72 code requirements.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the fire alarm and control industry.
  • Familiarity with the OSHA 10 safety standard.
