Description

AP Professionals is in search of a skilled Project Manager in the Buffalo, NY area! The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all activities related to environmental projects are conducted in a safe and financially sound manner, while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients.
  • Keep communication lines open with sales staff and clients to receive feedback on all aspects of workflow, including service dates, special needs, product updates, feasible improvements, and issues.
  • Ensure that all equipment and inventory are accessible before the start of the project.
  • Provide clear guidance to the field personnel working on the project.
  • Supervise the crew's preparation for the project daily to ensure that equipment, safety PPE, and instructions are in order.
  • Promote safety and educate the team on safety matters.
  • Regularly supervise on-site projects to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Keep all paperwork in order and logged into the necessary systems, including DFRs, permits, air quality readings, etc.
  • Thoroughly review and educate employees on proper procedures and safety protocols.
  • Confirm that employees are certified to carry out their assigned tasks.
  • Report any employee issues to the Region Manager for swift resolution.
  • Always abide by all company policies and procedures, with special consideration for health and safety protocols.
  • Notify management immediately in the event of a job-related injury.
  • Ensure that production is completed to a high standard by maintaining consistent communication with personnel and clients.
  • Daily driving and work throughout New York State with company vehicles is required.
  • On-call availability required 24/7.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Environmental Science or relevant field desired.

Experience

  • 5+ Years experience in an environmental, remediation or emergency response role required.
  • Experience in the use of business software required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Knowledge of environmental regulations RCRA, DOT, TSCA
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Commercial Driver’s License desired.
  • MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with accounting and quoting software.
