AP Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturer in search of a Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the company's Quality Management System, including peer reviews, handling non-conforming materials, and maintaining high-quality standards. Strong leadership, collaboration, and organizational skills are crucial.


  • Develop, implement, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with quality assurance policies. Direct inspection processes to maintain high-quality standards. Manage the document system for smooth integration into the QMS.
  • Create and execute internal audit plans to guarantee adherence to internal policies, program requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Regularly analyze data to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and evaluate quality issues.
  • Lead teams, including operators, in developing disposition criteria, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Direct Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.
  • Identify systemic or procedural deficiencies, including employee training needs, and develop and implement programs to address these issues.
  • Interface regularly with the sales team to address customer quality concerns and facilitate resolutions.
  • Conduct drawing and test procedure reviews to ensure design modifications meet all quality requirements.
  • Coordinate ISO certification audits. Perform instrument calibrations and reviews as necessary.
  • Manage quality performance throughout the supply chain by conducting supplier assessments, selecting sources, and overseeing supplier quality management. Occasionally travel to suppliers to conduct inspections and offer guidance on process improvements.
  • Contribute to the design, production, and testing of new products through design reviews, requirements validation, and system risk analysis.
  • Achieve financial and business objectives by accurately forecasting quality, executing programs within budget and schedule constraints, resolving issues, and driving strategic improvements within the function.


  • Minimum requirement includes an Associate's degree, formal military precision measurement equipment laboratory/test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment/Department of Defense training, or equivalent qualification.


  • At least five (5) years of experience in quality assurance is essential.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Certification in ASQ CQM or equivalent is mandatory (to be obtained within 1 year of employment).
  • Proficiency in working with ISO/IEC 9001 and 17025 management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software applications.
  • Fundamental mathematical skills in algebra, geometry, and statistics are necessary.
  • Basic organizational and time management abilities are required.
  • Attention to detail and meticulousness, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is indispensable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Adherence to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles; possession of green or black belt certification is advantageous.
