Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be a key contributor to the smooth operation of our financial and office management processes. This role requires a detail-oriented, tech-savvy professional with experience in accounting and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Workforce payroll: Manage contractor new hire onboarding and orientation; including facilitating payroll setup, reviewing and approving payroll tasks, and ensuring accurate execution. Address and resolve issues related to weekly candidate payroll processing while collaborating with clients for seamless operations.
  • Cash Applications: Manage cash receipts, ensuring proper application to open invoices.
  • Invoicing: Generate and send invoices to clients accurately and promptly.
  • Accounts Receivable: Track and manage outstanding client payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Accounts Payable: Process invoices, verify accuracy, and manage payments to suppliers and service providers.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely payments.
  • Office Management: Procure and manage office supplies, and other small office responsibilities as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and onboarding is a plus.
