Senior Corporate Accountant

Stable, global organization with a local presence on the east side of Rochester. The Senior Corporate Accountant will support the financial close and reporting process for a multi-entity organization as part of a collaborative team. Based on the company's growth trajectory, there will be ample opportunity to advance and evolve as a professional long-term. Hybrid flexibility after some initial onsite training and acclimation.

Open to individuals coming right out of public accounting, too!

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the financial close process.
• Assist with consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations and the preparation of related documentation.
• Support internal control processes, including the execution and documentation of SOX testing, remediation efforts, and related compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate audit and quarterly review requests by compiling and delivering required documentation and support materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and insights needed for reporting and process evaluations.
• Provide ad hoc financial and operational support across the Finance and Operations functions as needed.
• Conduct technical accounting research and prepare position papers on complex or emerging accounting issues.
• Participate in initiatives to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of accounting and reporting processes.
• Support strategic projects and ad hoc initiatives as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Graduate degree a plus
• Active CPA or progress towards is strongly preferred

• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in a public company environment, as an external auditor or corporate accountant, is ideal
