Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in search of a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst supports company-wide financial planning and analysis by delivering detailed insights, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and contributing to forecasting, budgeting, and reporting across multiple business units. This is a fully remote position with the potential for occasional onsite meetings. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of financial and operational reports by identifying key trends and delivering actionable insights to enhance business performance.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate profitability, cost structures, and revenue trends, offering recommendations for improving operational efficiency and reducing expenses.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as cost to serve and margin performance, across various business units.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by collaborating with business leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Maintain and improve forecasting models and tools to enhance the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of financial projections.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining financial reporting tools and dashboards to deliver timely, relevant, and user-friendly reports for internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support senior management in data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with teams across operations, sales, and business units to ensure financial plans support overall business objectives and contribute to revenue growth and margin improvements.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to promote financial accountability and support strategic alignment across the organization.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
  • Power BI experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Skilled in analyzing large data sets and translating findings into actionable business insights.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and analytical thinking.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem-solving, critical thinking, and a solution-focused mindset.
  • Upholds ethical standards with a commitment to integrity and accountability.
