Description

One of Rochester's largest companies is looking to strengthen their accounting function! This organization has a global presence, and the Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant will partner with both domestic and international teams to satisfy various financial reporting and analysis requirements. Hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote after training. Very solid benefits including 10% annual bonus and 401(k) match up to 4%. Responsibilities

  • Prepare the quarterly IFRS financial reporting package which includes financial statements and disclosures for the parent company
  • Prepare the Company’s quarterly bank financial statements, including management’s discussion & analysis (MD&A) and the statement of cash flows
  • Prepare and review financial statement supporting schedules and fluctuation analysis
  • Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in compliance with IFRS and US GAAP
  • Perform research, evaluation and memo preparation under IFRS and US GAAP for specific accounting transactions
  • Lead coordination efforts between the Company’s internal auditors and external auditors for the required annual audit and quarterly review activities
  • Become a subject matter expert in new ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and analysis as requested

Education

  • bachelor's degree in accounting
  • master's degree, MBA, or CPA highly desired

Experience

  • 4+ years of related financial reporting experience
  • US GAAP proficiency
  • IFRS experience a huge plus
