Software Engineer

AP Professionals is collaborating with a local manufacturing company seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their Research and Development team. The ideal candidate will adapt and grow their knowledge of new technologies and systems.

• Enhance and maintain calibration and control software to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and oversee control systems to monitor and regulate processes and operations effectively.
• Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate software into comprehensive system designs.
• Create and review technical documentation, including design specifications and maintenance manuals, for accuracy and clarity.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Train and guide technicians and other staff in operating and maintaining control systems.
• Design and build control systems and instrumentation tailored for industrial applications.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields required.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in instrumentation and control system design, analysis, and implementation.
• Experienced in Java, C++, C, microcontroller programming, and other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with industrial processes and equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of control system programming and software tools such as PLC and DCS programming or SCADA systems is a plus!

• Skilled in utilizing NI LabVIEW and data acquisition systems (DAQs).
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in design, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of working effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
