Sr. Director of Finance

Financial leadership opportunity with a well-known and established firm in Rochester. The Senior Director of Finance will have oversight of the accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. Supervisory responsibilities for a finance team of roughly 6-8. Management envisions this person having a seat at the table, and becoming part of the senior leadership team. Absolutely room to grow and take on new challenges. Primarily onsite to get acclimated, then a set schedule of 2 days remote per week. Of course, additional flexibility is granted when needed. Annual bonus too!

• Develop and maintain all accounting policies and procedures, including internal controls
• Keep an eye out for process improvement opportunities
• Work with operational departments to control costs and improve portfolio profitability
• Review quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports prepared by accountants for both internal and external stakeholders
• Provide special reporting and analysis of financial information to senior management
• Forecast and manage cash flow, and help plan for upcoming capital expenditures
• Oversee annual budget process, working with various operational departments
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Provide guidance and direction to accounting employees to assist them in their professional
  development
• Identify value-add projects for the finance department
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA required

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• prior supervisory experience required
• experience within the real estate industry is a plus
