AP Professionals has partnered with a local financial institution that is looking for a Systems Analyst. Open due to an upcoming retirement! This position will be responsible for assisting with implementing new functions, handling projects, and optimizing applications. Become the Subject Matter Expert on the internal and 3rd party systems. Candidates with a consultant mindset who enjoy learning, evaluating, and making changes are highly encouraged to apply. SQL experience is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce new methodologies, processes, and technology changes in order to cut costs, improve operational efficiencies, increase quality, and advance customer satisfaction. Document in accordance of standards, and guidelines.
  • Consult the business on core applications and work to increase functionality of applications.
  • Serve in a lead technical role for evaluation of software and vendors.
  • Update on project status to IT management, business stakeholders, and the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Work with internal team members to ensure all applications deliverables meet business requirements, as well as expectations for cost, quality, and schedule.
  • Coordinate, plan, test, and implement new systems and upgrades, enhancements, and system interfaces for existing systems.
  • Design and implement user security for the applications and related processes. Ensure that the database design and configuration meets security and regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound data feed processes, interfaces, and integrations are set-up and configured correctly.
  • Assist with the maintenance, administration, and support of business applications.
  • Lead the design, development, and testing of any custom modifications and enhancements.
  • Plan, evaluate, analyze, test, and implement resiliency and recoverability in applications and databases from a process and technical perspective to meet Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) requirements for applications.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulatory, Security, and Industry Best Practices.
  • Support IT and Company Audits and Reviews, as well as Vulnerability and Penetration Tests.
  • Provides knowledge transfer and documentation to the Team that will be providing primary support of the applications, modules, and enhancements.
  • Ensure compatibility and inter-operability of in-house computing systems.
  • Ensure proper System Testing and User Acceptance Testing are performed for modified and new modules and systems.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems

Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in related positions required.
  • Experience evaluating, installing, configuring, and supporting 3rd party business applications required.
  • Prior financial / banking experience preferred
  • Experience with systems planning, security, vendor management, and general software development and management best practices required.
  • Knowledge of testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and SQL programing language.
  • Experience in writing and running SQL queries.
  • Cloud experience preferred such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Proven experience in providing guidance and consulting to lines of business
  • Experience in leading projects.
